SurvivableSpace

The National Fire Protection Agency no longer uses the term "defensible space." They now refer to it as "survivable space."  The rationale per retired Prescott Fire Marshall Don Devendorf is "you're not really defending anything if you don't survive.

Dewey-Humboldt Firewise may have grant funding available to assist you in creating survivable space on your property. For more information contact Ron Miller, ronaldmiller.firewise@gmail.com,         704-473-0349

Dewey-Humboldt Firewise has earned Firewise USA recognition from NFPA. We are proud to say that we have achieved this status through resident engagement in "Being Firewise". Residents yard clean-up and mitigation based on the Defensible Space - Zone Management Guidelines.
